First on the list will be You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero.
This is for those of you that are stuck, constantly doubting yourself and don’t know how to improve yourself. Sincero encourages readers to overcome their fears and take action toward their goals in a straightforward (but not rude) way.
Think of this book as a paper version of your most honest friend.
Sincero shows you ways to stop doubting yourself and teaches you to be more confident and successful. Pushing you to believe in yourself, step out of your comfort zone, and start living the life you want. Get yourself a copy of You Are A Badass Here.
The next book on the list is for personal finance and is called Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
It’s about Kiyosaki’s two dads – his real dad and his friend’s rich dad. Kiyosaki talks about how they influenced his thoughts about money and investing.
Kiyosaki challenges that you don’t have to make a lot of money to be rich. In his book, he talks about the difference between working for money and having your money work for you.
The book helps refute some myths about money, like that your house is an asset. It explains what assets and liabilities are, and what you should teach your kids when it comes to money in order to help them be successful in the future. To me, this is important because as a parent, I want to be able to teach my kids properly about finances. This book was an amazing way to start.
Stress. The silent killer. Especially in today’s society.
We face immense pressure to live up to unrealistic societal expectations, leading to immense fatigue and stress, both mentally and physically.
Understanding the struggle we face, this is where Emily Nagoski, PhD, and Amelia Nagoski, DMA, come in to help with their book Burnout: The Secret To Unlocking The Stress Cycle.
The constant barrage of society’s standards and work expectations without recognition leaves many feeling inadequate. In a world where we are told we are not good enough or to work harder, makes it challenging to find happiness and wellness.
In their book, Dr. Emily Nagoski and Dr. Amelia Nagoski, breakdown down the stress cycle, providing messages of hope and compassion that encourage us to become empowered to prioritize our well-being. They help us understand the cycle of stress our bodies go through from the societal pressures we face, helping us regain our sense of self. A great read to overcome stress and embrace happy, healthy, fulfilling lives.
